Sander Van de Walle (1986) is in charge of the Caillou kitchen. From an early age, he has been passionate about food. He took his first steps in his mother's kitchen and he has a predilection for desserts, which gives him the "advantage of being very precise in all the dishes he creates."
Sander joined Restaurant Sel Gris* about 10 years ago and worked his way up to become Frederik's right-hand man for 8 years. This after several internships and workshops in, among others, 't Hof Van Cleve***, De lijsterbes, De Oosthoek, Tribeca** (Netherlands) , Zaranda** (Mallorca) and Likoké* (France).
In 2016, he came 2nd at the Saissonier Patisserie Benelux competition. In October 2018, he conquered the title 1st chef of Belgium "Prosper Montagné".
Camille Steenhuyse (1991) is your hostess. After 11 years of experience in the restaurant Sel Gris*, she and her contagious laughter provide our guests with a fantastic experience. Her best assets: her eye for detail and spontaneity. In order to expand her knowledge, she completed internships in Likoké* (France) and Zaranda** (Mallorca).
Frederik Deceuninck (1982) is the inspirer of the Caillou restaurant. An entrepreneur in heart and soul, he lets Sander and Camille fly out of the nest to do their own thing. Frederik's playground remains exclusively the kitchen of Sel Gris. He does not stir the Caillou. pots himself, but as a mentor he obviously supports the concept 200%.
